How We Use Your Information
Information collected through AmericanPortals is used exclusively to operate, maintain, and improve the service. Specifically:
Client contact information is used to deliver onboarding, support, and service-related communications. We do not use client contact details for marketing to third parties.
Payment information is processed entirely by Stripe. AmericanPortals does not store, access, or handle card numbers or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
End-user data submitted through client portals (e.g., event registration forms, member directories) is written directly to the client's Google Sheet. AmericanPortals has read-only access for rendering purposes and does not use this data for any purpose beyond operating the portal.
Third-Party Services
AmericanPortals uses the following third-party infrastructure. Each provider operates under their own privacy policy:
Google Firebase — Hosting, authentication, and database infrastructure. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's privacy standards and complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks.
Google Sheets — Used as the data layer for client portals. Client data is stored in Sheets owned and controlled by the client. AmericanPortals accesses Sheets via the Google Sheets API with read-only or read-write permissions as required by the service.
Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. AmericanPortals does not store payment card data.
Cloudflare — DNS and CDN. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata as part of its security and performance functions.
Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies necessary for the site to function, and optional analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
When you first visit americanportals.com, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You may accept or decline optional cookies. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the site to operate correctly.
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or any portal.
Data Retention
We retain client contact and account information for the duration of the subscription and for up to 12 months after cancellation, in case of reactivation requests or billing disputes.
End-user data submitted through portals resides in the client's Google Sheet, which the client owns and controls. AmericanPortals does not maintain a separate copy of end-user submissions beyond what is cached temporarily for portal rendering (cache cleared every 5 minutes).
Upon a written deletion request, we will remove identifiable data from our systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including CCPA for California residents) to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at webitexperto@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We do not discriminate against any user who exercises their privacy rights.
Children's Privacy
AmericanPortals services are directed at organizations and business clients. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through a portal, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. For material changes, active clients will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance.
